Your Starbucks Barista Will Soon Be Your Favorite DJ



Just shy of a month before Apple launches its music streaming service, Spotify is looking to further solidify its presence in our lives. Inking a deal with Starbucks, Spotify will power all the music that plays in over 7,000 locations in the U.S., while boosting subscriber numbers by offering free premium membership to 150,000 Starbucks employees. In addition, customers will be offered incentives to sign up by earning points through the Starbucks Rewards program. Specialized tools will be given to baristas to curate custom playlists, so the next time you make your coffee run, you’ll be able to request your favorite song too.
